KENNY WING TAO HO

Movement Assistant

Kenny was born in Mansfield, England, to parents of Cantonese Chinese decent from Shunde and Bao’an, in Guangdong, China.

He was inspired after seeing the film 'You Got Served' during a dance class at school. From that day he bought the film and began practicing at home. Kenny was fortunate to meet and join the former bboy crew Neo Angelos, and with them he began training and competing in breakdance.

Later, Kenny trained in contemporary dance at Dance4’s Centre for Advanced Training in Nottingham, and then went on to study at London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS); graduating in 2013 with a BA Hon’s in Contemporary Dance.

Upon graduating Kenny joined Protein Dance for the creation and tour of Border Tales. In 2015, he became a member of the Shechter Juniors before joining Hofesh Shechter Company to perform Barbarians. Since the end of 2016 Kenny has been a member of Gecko Theatre, creating and touring The Wedding and has continued his work with Protein Dance throughout this time. More recently, he rejoined Hofesh Shechter for the Grand Finale tour, created work as part of Protein’s Reimagine and performed in Gecko Theatre's debut feature film, 'Institute'.

As a freelance dancer, Kenny has also worked with Eleesha Drennan, Renaud Wiser, Nina Kov, Akram Khan (2012 Olympics), Itamar Serussi Sahar, Sinman Dance Company, Just Us Dance Theatre, and New Movement Collective. He is currently working with Jose Agudo, performing Silk Road.

Dickson and Kenny first met in 2010 when they studied at LCDS. In 2016, they performed It’s Between Us in the MASDANZA dance competition, and since then Kenny has worked with Dickson on DUENDE and ENOWATE.
